Story Construction is pleased to announce the promotion of four employees. Effective January 1, 2013, Dave Flemmer, Brian Haessig, Scott Kutchen and Adam Papesh will be assuming new roles and responsibilities within the company.
Dave Flemmer (top left) has been promoted to the position of estimator. Dave joined Story in 2003 as a project engineer. His experience in the construction industry in general and water treatment plants in particular will make him a great asset to our Estimating department.
Brian Haessig (top right) has been promoted to the position of project manager and has begun overseeing work with Flint Hills Resources. Brian joined Story in 1997 as a project engineer after working as a laborer and timekeeper for Story on the University of Northern Iowa Wellness Center project. He was later promoted to project superintendent and became an employee stockholder in 2007.
Scott Kutchen (bottom left) has been promoted to project manager and will be working closely with Larry Sperlich on industrial facilities. Scott joined Story Construction in 2000 as a project engineer and was promoted to project superintendent in 2008. In 2012 he became an employee stockholder. Most recently, Scott oversaw work for the Mason City Community School District, where Story served as the owner’s representative on a $31 million expansion and renovation project.
Adam Papesh (bottom right) has been promoted to project superintendent. Adam joined Story Construction in 2000 as a project engineer after graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Construction Engineering. His experience includes work on waste water treatment plants and manufacturing facilities and most recently served as the superintendent at the United Suppliers office expansion in Ames.
We congratulate Dave, Brian, Scott and Adam on their promotions and wish them continued success at Story.
