Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds were on hand for the dedication of Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica’s new Livestock Vaccine Research Facility in Sioux Center, Iowa.
Story Construction was the design-builder for this 8,500 SF research facility. Pictured here with Gov. Branstad is Rick Timm, Story’s project superintendent.
The main feature of this specialized research building is the HVAC system that is required to filter and treat the air as well as maintain positive pressures within certain areas of the building to avoid microscopic dirt and organisms from contaminating research.
The state of Iowa assisted BIVI in bringing this project to Sioux Center with tax credits and a forgivable loan.
