High School—Addition/Remodel: The addition adds 48,000 sq. ft. for classrooms, science rooms, media center, guidance area, and administration office and support facilities. There is also a mezzanine level mechanical room. The renovation work affected approximately 41,000 sq. ft. and involved the replacement of the exterior skin on a two-story classroom building, as well as room finish upgrades for the music department, industrial tech, life skills, cafeteria and classrooms. Substantial mechanical and electrical renovation work included new unit ventilators in each room and a new fire alarm system throughout the existing facility. Nearly all of the renovation work was completed during the 12-week summer school break. New Elementary School - Construction started in 2003 on a district-wide, 137,000 sq. ft. elementary school. The structure is divided into two halves with common areas such as the media center, guidance offices and administration in between. Kindergarten through second grade will be in the west wing with third through fifth grades in the east. Story Construction was the Construction Manager on these projects totaling $26 million.
