This 46,000 sq. ft. facility was constructed for Interpower Corporation, a manufacturer and marketer of electrical cords, plugs and sockets.Structure components consist of a 6” slab-on-grade concrete floor in the warehouse and manufacturing areas (approx. (32,800 sq. ft.) and structural steel with precast, glass and metal wall panels. The office area is on two levels (approx. 13,200 sq. ft.)The facility has 22,400 sq. ft. of high-rack storage and 6,500 sq. ft. of manufacturing space for product development and testing. The office areas are comprised for the most part of open office spaces for customer service and marketing.To provide a safe environment for employees, the lobby area is sealed off from the rest of the building by an electronic door operator and the receptionist is protected with bullet-resistant glass and a counter and sidewall that conceals a ½" steel plate.
